# 00110 :  Pride comes before destruction

Dear Sisters

As I was reading thru the general Forum my heart ached to know how much the brethren have fallen  from the word of God and incresingly  indulged in all kinds of worldly thinking. They want ornamentsand divorce is ok.And I am afraid what  next. They call elders as illiterate, uneducated fools. The pride has gone so much.Philipians 2:3-7.Acts 12:21-23.Daniel 4:28-37.Please start praying before everything falls apart as Sodom Gomorrah.Lets encourage each other to spend more and more time in praying.Acts 12:5 "PRAYER WAS MADE WITHOUT CEASING OF THE CHURCH"---Satan has kept KBs bounded by chains.Prayer only is tool so that those chains will fall off.Lets all join together and pray.

Ann

Sister Ann,

Have you prayerfully evaluated all the Biblical expositions, or are you reacting because these go against what you have been raised with?  We have to be prepared to evaluate all our own notions in the light of scripture, especially when you encounter new teachings.  if not, it is those who retain the old teaching without evaluation of the new who have the pride, for they believe that their sacred age-old teachings cannot be wrong.

Not all that is new is wrong, and not all that is different is prideful. I humbly suggest that you analyze the expositions without any preconceived notions--this admittedly is hard, but ultimately necessary if you are to evaluate.

God Bless.

 Dear Ann,

I concur with avoid_legalism. It seems to me you are not evaluating your position in light of the testimony of scritpure. I would even go as far as saying that KB are bound by the chains of legalism and tradition that they are the same as the Catholics following traditions of men instead of God.

Regards
