# 02482 :  Brethren marriages an event management extravagance?

Modernisation of Brethren weddings are going too far. A recent wedding of a celebrity Brethren Singer's daughter with an Idea star singer 3rd price winner singer was hosted by evangelists Joy John and Abraham Thomas Kochi. While they were on stage.. Champagne Toast was rasied by the couple and the evangelists were seen making comical guestures and passing out stand up comedian style jokes.

What kind of a glorified ceromoney is that? and these people lecture about giving glory to God alone.... which portion in the Bible licences these selfe styled evangelists to be comical on stage and then claim they did a service worthy of heavenly blessings?

Shamefull turn of events... extravegance at weddings are taking over the Brethren community in every aspect... i witnessed another one in which forgetign the ring exchange and stuff the couple drove off in a car with bittles tried to its rear end dragging on the road. Emulating the western Pagan customs is cool for the brethren theses days? stupidity to say the least for the self glorified children of God

'Once Saved Always Saved', it does not matter whatever you do after you were saved for once. Perhaps, you may loose your rewards, but can enter the Kingdom of God empty handed. After all, you are 'son' of God - This is what taugt in Brethren churches.
